How a bee "problem" became a possibility
Our Story
Our journey started a decade ago, when a swarm of bees decided to make our home their own. We had no clue what to do, and called an expert into relocate them safely.
Season after season, the bees returned,
and so we decided to welcome them home! We took classes, bought the equipment and harvested our own honey for the first time with no intent to sell it. Shared only with a few friends and family, the feedback we got was overwhelming - our honey was delicious! Since then we have grown organically by attracting the passing swarms on our land and creating a safe space for them nestled in our acres of beautiful Fynbos.
Scrub Hare is a family brand, our daughter came up with the name and our son designed the logo. Every single one of us works to care for our precious hives.
Now our family can proudly bring Scrub Hare to the Mother City - 100% raw Fynbos Honey, unfiltered, unpasteurised.
